My Culinary Journey
My relationship with food transformed about 12 years ago when I began exploring the connection between nutrition and overall wellness. What started as a personal journey to create healthier meals for my family evolved into a deep passion for cooking that balances flavor with nutrition.
To build my skills and knowledge, I completed multiple online nutrition and home cooking courses, diving into topics like balanced meal planning, ingredient substitutions, and cooking techniques that preserve both taste and nutritional value. I also spent several years working part-time in a local café kitchen here in Raleigh, where I learned the importance of efficiency, consistency, and creating dishes that people genuinely enjoy eating.
Before focusing on food full-time, I worked as a wellness coach and fitness studio assistant. Those experiences taught me that sustainable healthy eating isn't about restriction or bland food—it's about finding joy in nourishing meals that fuel your body and satisfy your cravings.
